Match report berry boys U7s 5 - SY?5 Started Lawrence, Jake, Daniel, Jack,
Lenny. We had kick off tried a back pass ? Miss it and let their boy get
the Ball and walk it in for a goal. This then made the boys start playing
some of the best football they have played. We were passing the ball
through the whole team, some one twos in there as well and soon the goals
started to come. Jack who was unbelievable today collected a pass down the
line from Daniel and ran passed their defence to bang in our first. Jake
then played a brilliant pass up the pitch to release Lenny to score.
Another fine bit of passing allowed Jack to get a great second goal. Even
though the other team were lining up 4 boys five yards away from Liam
taking corners like a wall ? he managed to set up two goals for Daniel then
Caleb to both get on the score sheet. We let in a sloppy second before half
time, but the boys were playing brilliant. Half time we said they had to
just carry on the way they were, but remember their positions and to put
the other team under some more pressure because we were standing off them
too much. Well we done the opposite, we had a few chances to start with but
we sat too deep, forgot the positions we were playing and how to tackle and
get rid of the ball. We let a poor team come away with a good result in the
end and if we wasn't for Laurence and a goal line clearance from Jake at
the end it could have been worse. Lots to work on after today, too many
boys not listening and playing out of their positions. Lots of positives
though from the first half and we never lost so we can take that and move
